T&E vs. IT Bonds
Both bond types allow goods to move between US ports under CBP supervision — the difference is what happens at the destination.
Immediate Transportation (IT)
Goods arrive at one US port and move in-bond to another port for formal entry and clearance. Cargo is bonded while in transit — no duties assessed until entry is made at the destination port.
Transportation & Exportation (T&E)
Goods enter the US at one port and move in-bond to another port for export — without ever being formally imported. No duties apply. The bond guarantees export will occur.

When cargo departs, we obtain proof of exportation (outbound manifest or CBP 7512C) and coordinate bond discharge — closing the movement cleanly in ACE.
